How to group planograms
In this article
We will review how to group planograms for joint editing: changing the order of planograms and moving products between them. This is convenient when products of the same category are placed on different equipment.

How to group planograms
To create a planogram group:
- Go to store plan edit mode;
- Select multiple planograms holding Ctrl (Windows) / Command (macOS) and click "Merge planograms" on the toolbar;
- In the "Merge planograms" panel, enter the Group name * (up to 200 characters) — this field is required;
- The "Selected planograms" block displays the selected planograms;
To remove a planogram from the group, hover over it and click "Unlink":

To quickly find a planogram, use the search by name/number.
- The "Planogram selection" block displays planograms not yet added to the group;
To add a planogram to the group, hover over it and click "Add".
To quickly find a planogram, use the search by name / number, or filter by categories, brands, planogram status, equipment type or product availability.
- Click "Merge planograms" — the group will be created and will immediately open in edit mode.
If a planogram is a library planogram, an icon is displayed next to its name. Hover over it to view the list of store plans where the planogram is placed:

Grouped planograms are marked with a group icon below the planogram. Hover over it to view the group name and the list of planograms in it:

Managing a planogram group
To access group settings, use one of the following methods:
- Select a planogram and click "Configure group" on the toolbar:

- Click on the group icon below the planogram;
- In the "Placed planograms" panel, hover over the group row and click "Configure group":

- In planogram group edit mode, click "Configure group" next to the group name in the navigation bar.
To go to group edit mode, use one of the following methods:
- Select a planogram and click "Open planogram group" on the toolbar;
- Click "Edit" on the "Merge planograms" panel:

- In the "Placed planograms" panel, hover over the group row and click "Edit".
To ungroup, use one of the following methods:
- Click "Separate group" in the top right corner of the panel:

- Open the "Merge planograms" panel, detach planograms (leave one or remove all) and click "Separate group".

Both individual planograms and planogram groups are displayed here.
To view planograms in a group, click the arrow (>) next to the group name, and (∨) to collapse.
To send all planograms in a group for execution without selecting each one individually — simply mark the group:
- Click "Send for execution":

- Mark the planogram / planogram group and click "Select stores".

To quickly find a planogram / planogram group — use the search.
Hover over the group row to:
- Configure group — opens the "Merge planograms" panel;
- Edit — opens the entire group in edit mode;
- View — opens the group in view mode.
Hover over the planogram row to:
- Configure group — opens the "Merge planograms" panel and highlights the planogram with an orange border.
Planogram group editing mode
All planograms in the group are displayed in edit mode. The active planogram is the one you are currently working with. It is highlighted with an orange border, name and label on the bottom panel. To switch to another planogram, click on it.
To change the order of planograms, hold the right mouse button on the planogram name and drag it.
The following actions are available in the top right corner of each planogram:
- Unpin — the planogram unpins and can be moved anywhere on the page:

To move it, hold the left mouse button on the header and drag to the desired location. To resize the work area, drag the bottom right corner;
- Pin — returns the unpinned planogram to the work area, placing it last :

- Collapse — hides the planogram from the work area:

A collapsed planogram is displayed on the bottom panel with a grey label. To expand, click on it.
At the bottom of each planogram is a toolbar. Depending on the size of the planogram's workspace, the buttons are displayed on the toolbar or grouped under the "More Options" (⋮) menu:
- 3D model — depending on the size of the work area, displays 3D only or both 2D and 3D view;
- Display equipment dimensions;
- Display equipment back / front side — available only if the planogram has a central upright;
- Hide info elements — if info elements (text, POS materials) are absent, the button is inactive;
- Display products in boxes — available only if the planograms have boxes;
- Show articles;
- Display product sequence number;
- Scale (+-) — step 20%.
Unlike the individual planogram toolbar, a shared toolbar is located at the bottom of the work area and applies to all planograms in the group simultaneously:
- Arrange planograms — if unpinned planograms or open shelves overlap each other, click the button to close the shelves and sort planograms according to the group settings:

- Display products in boxes — displayed only if all planograms in the group have boxes;
- Display equipment dimensions;
- Show articles;
- Display equipment back / front side — available only if all planograms in the group contain a central upright;
- Display product sequence number;
Product list in group editing mode
Several grouping options are available for working with the product list. Choose the one that best suits your task.
"By planograms" grouping is set automatically. This allows you to quickly view products of each planogram separately.
To view a planogram's product list, click the arrow (>) next to its name. A product added to multiple planograms is displayed in each of them.
"By brand" or "By category (level)" grouping helps quickly find products by the corresponding attribute.
Click on a product to highlight it on all planograms simultaneously. To delete a product from all group planograms: press Del (Windows) / Fn + Delete (macOS) on the keyboard.

To disable grouping and view all products in one list: click "More actions" (⋮) → "Group products" → "By planograms".
The following tools are available at the top of the "Products" panel for working with all group planograms simultaneously:
- Remove products — clears the product list and layout on all planograms;
- Uploud product list — click to upload a product list from an Excel file;
- Add products;
- Display — click to filter products by status: All, Placed, Not placed, Active, Inactive, With stock, Without stock.
Hover over a planogram in the "By planograms" grouping to use tools for that planogram only:
- Add products;
- Uploud product list;
- Uploud layout;
- Remove product.
If the work area is not enough, for example when multiple planograms and shelves are open at the same time — click "Close panel" to hide the "Products" panel and expand the workspace. To expand the panel, click again:

Product layout in planogram group
To place a product on any planogram in the group, hold it in the list and drag it to the required equipment element.

To quickly lay out products without placing them manually, use autoplacement or layout rules. Products will be automatically placed on the active planogram in one click.

To upload a layout from an Excel file, click "Upload layout" next to the required planogram in the "By planograms" grouping.

Top toolbar
Top toolbar tools apply only to the active planogram. When switching between planograms, the state of buttons and settings remains individual for each of them:
- Info elements (Text, POS materials) — allow adding text and POS materials to the planogram for visual presentation. Do not affect product layout and always appear on top of other objects;

- Draw block — blocks are areas on the planogram that can be highlighted for placing product groups without item-by-item layout, but accounting for space for products of a certain category, brand, supplier or characteristic;

- Lay out mirroring — swaps products on the left and right sides of the shelving unit;

- Products alignment — sets product placement relative to the edges or width of the equipment. Available options: align left, align right, align to shelf width or no alignment;

- Lay out arbitrarily — allows placing products anywhere on the planogram without fixed positions. Useful for freezers, pallets and similar equipment;

- Move equipment elements — allows moving equipment elements on the planogram. After moving, you can save as new equipment, replace the current one or cancel changes;

- Edit equipment — opens the equipment in edit mode. After editing, you can save as new equipment or replace the current one on all planograms where it is used;

- Copy planogram — allows copying the layout to other planograms. Two copy types are available: standard — preserving all layout parameters, and with expansion — the layout automatically adapts to the target equipment parameters;

- Send for execution — opens the sending page with all group planograms;
- View — opens the planogram group view mode;
- Save — saves changes for all group planograms.
To undo or redo the last action, use the arrows on the top panel or keyboard shortcuts — applies only to the active planogram:
- Undo — Ctrl + Z (Windows) / Command + Z (macOS);
- Redo — Ctrl + Shift + Z (Windows) / Command + Shift + Z (macOS).
Right toolbar
Right toolbar tools are divided into two types:
Applied to all planograms simultaneously:
- Highlight products;

Applied separately for each planogram:
- Analytics:
- Product effictiveness analysis — a table with layout and sales metrics for each product;

- Product rating — a report for quick analysis of the recommended and actual product layout percentage by selected breakdown and sales period;

- Brand statistics;

- Log — displays the change history of the planogram. If needed, you can "Restore planogram";
- Chat — allows discussions within the active planogram.

Planogram group view mode
Top toolbar:
- Edit — opens the planogram group in edit mode;
- Download complectation — downloads the complectation of the active planogram.
Left toolbar:
- Analytics — displays analytics data for the active planogram only;

Right toolbar:
- Settings — period and label selection. Applied to all group planograms simultaneously;
- Highlight products — work the same as in edit mode. Applied to all group planograms simultaneously;
- History — available only in individual planogram view mode;
- Log — displays change records for the active planogram only;
- Chat — allows discussions within the active planogram.
