In this article, we will review the "Product effectiveness analysis" report, which allows you to analyze products directly in planogram edit mode and make more informed decisions about the layout based on the data obtained.

How to open the report

To analyze the efficiency of product layout and sales, open the "Product effectiveness analysis" report.


To do this:

  1. In planogram edit mode, click "Analytics""Product effectiveness analysis" on the right toolbar:



  1. A modal window will open with the report table and toolbar. You can move it, resize it by dragging the edges, or expand it to full screen:



If you need to view the report for a specific period, compare layout efficiency across seasons, or assess the impact of changes on sales — select the required time range.


Click "Period", select the required dates in the calendar or use one of the ready-made options, and click "Apply":



To analyze overall metrics by category, brand or supplier, use product grouping:




To focus only on the metrics you need, configure the report columns. This allows you to hide unnecessary data and keep only the information required for analysis.


Click "Customize columns", select the required metrics from the "Product attributes", "Layout indicators" and "Sales indicators" groups, then click "Apply":

Report indicators

Depending on the selected columns, the report can display three groups of indicators:

  1. Product attributes:
  • Product name;
  • Assortment type;
  • Product status;
  • Article;
  • Product type;
  • Category;
  • Brand;
  • Supplier.


  1. Layout indicators:
  • Linear metres of layout on equipment = Product width * Number of facings;
  • Layout percentage on equipment = (Linear metres of product layout * 100) / Linear metres of equipment;
  • Recommended layout share — calculated based on historical sales data for the current store.


Note! If the store plan is not active, the metric value is distributed equally among all products.


  • Average recommended layout percentage  —  рcalculated based on historical sales data across all stores where the selected planogram is located; 
  • Share of layout on shelf = (Linear metres of product layout * 100) / Linear metres of shelves (hooks); 
  • Product stock, pcs./kg (current equipment):

For packaged products:
Product stock, pcs. (current equipment) = Quantity of Facings * Layout depth * Layout height.


For weighted products:
Product stock, kg (current equipment) = Package weight or 1 if weight is unspecified.


  • Product stock, pcs./kg (other equipment) = Total store stock − stock on current planogram;
  • Product stock, pcs./kg (in the store) = Stock on current equipment + Stock on other equipment in the store;
  • Product stock, days:

For packaged products:
Product stock, days = Stock / Average daily sales volume;


For weighted products:
Product stock, days = Stock × 1.


Note! Average daily sales are calculated for the selected period.


  • Stock qty — number of products available in the store at the end of the selected period.


  1. Sales indicators:
  • Price — product price documents for the specified store are used for calculations. If such documents are not available, the price from the receipt is applied;
  • Turnover — total monetary receipts from product sales for the selected period;
  • Average turnover — arithmetic mean of revenue across all stores where the planogram is located;
  • Turnover ABC — displays the product's belonging to ABC distribution groups by revenue;
  • ABC by average turnover;
  • Sales qty — shows how many times the product was sold during the selected period;
  • Average quantity of sales;
  • Sales qty ABC — displays the product's belonging to ABC distribution groups by sales quantity;
  • ABC by average sales;
  • Average sales qty per day = Sales qty / Number of days in the set period (for weighted = 1);
  • Average daily sales (across all stores) — arithmetic mean of sales quantity across all stores where the planogram is located.
