How to upload a layout from an Excel file

The service allows you to upload a layout to equipment from an .xlsx file.

Note! You can upload the layout only on the shelf and only packaged products. Products within one shelf should not be duplicated.

To upload a layout:

  1. Open the planogram editing mode;
  2. In the "Products" panel, click "Upload products / layout""Upload layout";
  3. In the modal window, drag the file into the upload area or click the area to select a file from your computer.

Where to download the file template

In the "Upload layout" modal window, click "Download .xlsx file example" to download and use it as a template.

You can also download the template using the Download .xlsx file example link

How to prepare the file correctly

The upload file must contain the following columns:

  • Stand number — ordinal number of the rack in the group of racks on which the products shall be placed. Numbering of racks in the group is from left to right;
  • Shelf number — the sequential number of the shelf where the product will be placed. Shelf numbering starts from the bottom shelf;
  • Articles — the product article number;
  • Face quantity — the number of faces of the product;
  • Placement order — the order of product placement in shelf depth. If products should be placed one behind another, use sequential values: 1, 2, 3, etc., where 1 represents the product at the front edge of the shelf, 2 is placed behind it, 3 behind the second product, and so on. To place products in a single row on a shelf, specify a value of 1 for each product;
  • Placement depth — the layout quantity of the product depth. If you leave the cells empty, then when you upload the file, the products will be laid out to the full depth of the shelf automatically.
  • Placement height — the number of layout of the faces of the product in height.

Note! The column order in the upload file must match the template exactly.

What to do if errors are found in the file

After uploading the file, a product preview window will open. At this stage, you can:

  • Review detected errors;
  • Correct values in the file;
  • Remove duplicate products.

Important! Rows containing errors will be highlighted in red, and the total number of errors will be displayed in the upper-right corner of the window.

To navigate to the nearest error, click the total error count. Hover over a highlighted row to view the error description.

Error messages:
  • Product with article not found — occurs when a non-existent article number is specified in the file. To fix the error, click the cell containing the incorrect article number and enter a valid one.
  • It`s impossible to upload sizes for two or more similar products — this occurs when products with the same article number are placed on the same shelf but not next to each other.

Note! A duplicate product can be removed by clicking "Remove duplicate" in the upper-right corner of the window.

After correcting errors and removing duplicates, click "Download" to place products according to the parameters specified in the file.
