Chat (Web Version)
Chat is a convenient tool for communication between users within a specific planogram. It allows users to quickly discuss work-related issues, clarify product display details, and exchange files, making collaboration more efficient.
Where to find the chat
The chat is available in several places:
- Top service panel: the “Chats” icon next to Notifications.
- On the planogram: click the “Chat” icon on the right-side panel. If there are new messages, an indicator showing their number appears on the icon.
- Control block: when reviewing photo reports, you can click on a manager’s comment and instantly switch to the chat to clarify details.
- Tasks block: a list of chats (for store managers).
Conditions for displaying chats in the Chat tab
For a user with permission to edit a planogram, if the user:
- created or edited a planogram;
- was mentioned in a message or sent a message;
- sent a planogram for execution.
If there are messages in the chat.
For a user with the Store Manager role in the Tasks block, if the user:
- received a planogram for execution;
- was mentioned in a message.
If there are messages in the chat.
Chat list features:
- Search
No need to scroll through the entire list — simply enter the planogram name to quickly find a chat.
- Open chat
One click on a chat opens the conversation.
- Pin / unpin chat
Moves the chat to the top of the list and marks it with a pin icon.

- After selecting a chat, the Messages tab opens (the main communication feed).
Sending messages and files
At the bottom of the chat, there is a message input field and buttons for additional actions:
Mentions (@)
Allows you to address a specific user or all managers of the selected store at once.
Attach files (paperclip icon)
You can upload:
- documents (.pdf, .docx, .xlsx, .pptx, .txt)
- images (.jpg, .jpeg, .png, .svg, .webp, .gif, .heic)
- archives (.zip, .rar)
- videos (.mp4, .mov)
Limitations:
- up to 20 files per message
- maximum file size — 100 MB
Message actions
The following actions are available for each message:
- Reply
Creates a reply with a reference to the original message to preserve context.
- Go to planogram
Opens the planogram layout as it was at the moment the message was sent.

Control block
A reviewer can open a manager’s comment and immediately switch to the chat to clarify details directly on the photo report review page.

Notification settings in “Personal Settings”
In Personal Settings, under the Notifications tab, you can manage notifications for chat mentions (@) both in the service and in the PlanoHero Layout app.
