Autoplacement

Autoplacement

Autoplacement allows you to generate a planogram automatically. With just one click, the products will automatically fill in the planogram.

How to use Autoplacement?

To use Autoplacement, go to the mode of editing planograms and create a list of products.

Autoplacement is divided into three types of products distribution on the planogram, you can use the one that works best for you:
normal autoplacement of goods - the maximum of goods from the list will be laid out on the shelf;
autoplacement based on sales - the system calculates the layout recommendation for each product in relation to its historical sales and generates a layout;
autoplacement based on planned percentage - you set your own planned layout percentage for brands and categories. And the Smart Automation forms a planogram based on the planned percentages.

Normal Autoplacement

To fill the planogram with the maximum number of products, click "Lay out" above the workspace on the right.

With this layout, the goods will be distributed evenly throughout the planogram.

Additionally, you can adjust the autoplacement parameters. To go to the settings, click on the button "Set autoplacement", to the right of the "Lay out" button.

The "Lay out based on sales" parameter in the autoplacement settings must be inactive for normal layout.

Autoplacement based on sales

To generate autoplacement based on the sales of each product, open the "Autoplacement settings" and activate the "Lay out based on sales" option.

The percentage of layout of each product is calculated on the basis of the period and four coefficients: Turnover coefficient, Sales quantity coefficient, Profit coefficient and Receipts quantity coefficient.

Using the values of these four coefficients, you specify the weight of the indicators for the calculation.

Set the required period and adjust the coefficients, then click "Apply" to lay out the products based on sales.

The sum of all coefficients must be equal to one.

Autoplacement based on planned percentage

Autoplacement based on planned percentages allows you to lay out products based on planned percentages entered by you manually.

To set the planned layout percentages for brands and categories, you need to open the "Brand Statistics" panel. To do this, click on the button 'Brand statistics" in the left panel.

The brand statistics show the brands of goods added to the planogram together with indicators:
Recommended percentage - a recommendation of the brand layout, calculated by the system based on sales.
Actual percentage - the share of occupied shelf space of the brand / category on the planogram.
Planned percentage - displays the planned percentage of brand / category layout you specify.

To specify the planned layout percentage, click on the appropriate percentage in the Brand Statistics panel, and specify the required value.

To specify the planned layout percentage for categories and brands within categories, change the grouping of Brand Statistics by clicking "Group by categories" in the upper right corner. After changing the grouping, specify the required planned percentage and click "Apply".

As soon as the required planned percentages are specified, press "Lay out" to make the autoplacement work.

The principle of autoplacement with the planned percentage:
Brands for which the planned layout percentage is indicated are laid out first. In this case, preference is given to brands with the highest specified layout percentage.
If there is a free space on the equipment after the planned percentage layout, it is filled by brands not laid out yet. Such brands are laid out at the recommended percentage, preference is given to those brands that have a higher recommended percentage
When the total planned percentage is greater than 100%, the brands with the highest planned percentage will be laid out first, and those brands for which there is not enough space will not be laid out at all.
Within brands, goods are laid out depending on the parameter "Lay out based on sales", which is in the autoplacement settings. If this parameter is inactive, the goods will be distributed evenly within the brand group, if the parameter is active - the goods will be laid out relative to the calculated recommended percentage based on historical sales.

In order for the autoplacement on the planned percentage to work correctly, you need to select the grouping according to the type for which you specified the planned percentage in the layout configuration or do not select the grouping at all.

For example: If you have specified a planned percentage for categories in the "Brand Statistics" panel, you will need to select grouping by category in the layout configuration, or do not select a grouping so that products are laid out relative to the specified planned percentages

How to configure Autoplacement parameters?

To go to the autoplacement settings, click "Autoplacement settings". In the configuration, you can set the grouping and sorting of goods, as well as set restrictions on the number of faces and choose the type of autoplacement.

It is possible to group goods by Brands, Categories and Suppliers, the grouping of goods on the planogram is vertical.

Also, it is possible to set sorting for goods on the shelves. Goods are sorted from left to right on each shelf. Products can be sorted by size and price, descending or ascending.

Separately in the drop-down list of sorting there is a parameter "Gold shelf" - the goods with the highest turnover will be laid out on the shelf at the level of hands and eyes of the buyer at a height of 1.2 m to 1.7 m.

If you use the toggle switch button "Check distance between shelves", products that do not fit on the shelf in height will not be laid out.

With the "Maximum number of faces" drop-down list, you can set a limit on the number of faces for each product.

After you have adjusted all the autoplacement settings, click "Apply".

You can also set parameters for sales-based autoplacement in “Autoplacement configuration” in more detail in the “Sales-based smart automation” section.
