ABC analysis

ABC analysis allows you to analyze products on equipment by four indicators: Turnover, Profit, Receipts quantity and Sales quantity. This helps quickly understand which products are most valuable for the layout and which should be reconsidered.

How to configure ABC analysis

To open ABC analysis, click "Analytics""ABC analysis" on the left toolbar.


In the "Report settings" panel:

  1. Click the "Period" field and select the required date range in the calendar or use one of the ready-made options. The last 30 days are set automatically;
  2. Products are sorted in descending order and distributed into three groups:
    • A — products accounting for 80% of the total indicator value. Most valuable;
    • B — the next 15% of products. Intermediate;
    • C — the last 5% of products. Least valuable.
  3. If needed, change the percentages for each ABC distribution group by the required indicator: Turnover, Profit, Sales quantity or Receipts quantity;
  4. Click the color circle to the right of the required group and select a color from the palette or enter a hex code to change the group color;
  5. Click "Apply" to save the changes.


Note! The sum of percentages for the group must equal 100%.


To change the indicator displayed on the layout, click the field in the bottom left corner and select the required option. "ABC on turnover" is set automatically.



Indicators table

At the bottom of the page, a table with product information and indicators for the selected period is displayed.

  1. Product attributes:
    • Name;
    • Article;
    • Barcode;
    • Type (packaged/weighting).
  2. Indicators:
    • Turnover — total monetary receipts from product sales for the selected period;
    • Average turnover;
    • Turnover ABC = (Product turnover * 100) / Turnover of all products on the planogram;
    • ABC by average turnover;
    • Profit — the difference between turnover and product cost;
    • Average profit;
    • Profit ABC — displays which group (A, B or C) the product belongs to by profit indicator;
    • ABC by average profit;
    • Receipts quantity — excluding returns;
    • Average receipts quantity;
    • Receipts quantity ABC — displays which group (A, B or C) the product belongs to by receipts quantity indicator;
    • ABC by average receipts quantity;
    • Sales quantity — how many times the product was sold during the selected period;
    • Average sales quantity;
    • Sales quantity ABC — displays which group (A, B or C) the product belongs to by sales quantity indicator;
    • ABC by average sales quantity;
    • Product stock, pcs/kg — total quantity of placed products on the planogram:


For packaged products:
Product stock on the shelf, pcs. = Facings qty * Placement depth * Placement height.


For weighting products:
Product stock on the shelf, kg. = Package weight, or "1" if no package weight is specified.


The table can be flexibly configured:

  • Drag columns by name to change their order;
  • Hold the bottom right corner of a column and move it left or right to change its width;
  • Click the arrow next to a column name to sort products by that indicator.


The following tools are available for convenient data management:

  • Search — find products by name, article or barcode;
  • Customize columns — select the indicators to be displayed in the table;
  • Save table template — save column settings so you don't have to reconfigure the table each time.


To download the report in .xls format, click "Download report" on the top toolbar.


Important! The downloaded file is generated taking into account the applied column display settings and search filters.
