Product compression

Compression makes it possible to use shelf space efficiently by compressing soft-packaged products and increasing the free space for additional product faces.

Compression coefficients can be set for packaged products or for weight items, but only if they have a packaging created for them.

Compression factors can be set directly in the product card and in the product layout settings on the planogram.

How do I add a compression coefficient to a product in the product card?

To configure the compression coefficient for a particular product in all planograms, you need to go to the "Product card".

On the "Product information" tab, in the "Compression parameters" section, there are sliders for entering the value of the compression coefficient in the required projections (height, width, depth), where:

  • 0% - the product is not compressed;
  • 1% - minimum compression;
  • 90% - maximum compression.

Next to the settings, there is an image of the product that shows the height, width, and depth of the product. When you change the compression coefficients using the sliders, the visualization is automatically updated to reflect the new compression parameters.

To save the entered values, just click the Apply button.

Note! The compression coefficients apply to all planograms where the checkbox next to the corresponding compression type is selected, except when the “Apply changes only to this planogram” switch is activated.

If you want to replace all current values, activating the “Replace set coefficients on planograms” checkbox will update the data on all planograms where the selected compression is applied at once.

How do I set the compression coefficient on a planogram for one product ?

To set the compression coefficient on a planogram, you need to open the planogram in the Edit mode, click on the product, and then click on the Settings button in the top right panel.

In the "Product layout settings" panel, click on the "Compression settings" tab.

The "Compression settings" tab preliminarily displays the coefficients set in the product card. After activating the checkboxes opposite the compression coefficients (height, width, depth), sliders become available to change them.

If the "Apply changes only to this planogram" checkbox is enabled, the changes are applied only to the current planogram and do not affect the others.

To save the entered values, just click the Apply button.

Important! If the checkbox remains active while applying compression coefficients, all subsequent changes made from the product card will automatically overwrite the product data in the planogram - regardless of whether the "Apply changes only to this planogram" switch is enabled.

How do I set the compression coefficient on a planogram for multiple products?

To set the compression coefficient for several products in a planogram at once, select the products and click the Settings button in the top right panel.

In the “Product layout settings” panel, on the “Compression settings” tab, you can change the compression in bulk by dragging the slider to the desired value.

If the selected products have different coefficients, a dash will be displayed next to the corresponding compression type; if the value is the same, a percentage will be displayed.

Examples with dependencies of product compression coefficient settings?

  1. Changing the coefficients from the product card when the “Replace set coefficients on planograms” slider is active:

The changes are applied to all planograms with the product in those parameters for which the checkbox is active, provided that the "Apply changes only to this planogram" is disabled.

  1. Change coefficients from the product card when the “Replace set coefficients on planograms” slider is active:

All coefficients are changed on all planograms where the product is displayed, the checkbox is active, and the "Apply changes only to this planogram" slider is enabled.

  1. Changing the coefficients of a product from a planogram when the "Apply changes only to this planogram" slider is turned off:

The coefficients are overwritten in the product card and on all other planograms where this product is displayed in the parameters for which the checkbox is active, provided that the "Apply changes only to this planogram" slider is turned off.

  1. Changing the coefficients of a product from a planogram when the "Apply changes only to this planogram" slider is active:

The changes are applied only to this planogram.
