Archiving products

Product archiving is a feature that allows you to hide products that do not need to be displayed from the interface, with the option of restoring them later.

This approach allows you to optimize your work with the assortment and increase the accuracy of the planogram.

There are three ways to archive a product:

• via the product card thumbnail;
• through the product list;
• through mass archiving.

Archiving via the card thumbnail

To archive a product, click the Archive button in the upper right corner of the product card:

Clicking on the icon opens the "Product archiving" modal window.

Please note that after archiving: 

• the product is automatically removed from all planograms and cannot be restored;
• the product is removed from master positions and is not automatically added after unarchiving;
• changes to the product are reflected in the manager without additional notification (if the planogram was previously sent for execution).

You can also enter the reason for archiving in the text field.

To confirm the archiving of the product, click the Archive button.

To cancel the action, click the Cancel button.

Archiving via the product list

If the products are displayed as a list on the "Product list" page, click on the menu button (three dots) on the right side of the product line. Select "Archive" from the list of actions.

The "Product archiving" modal window will open, indicating what changes will be made, and you will also be able to enter **the reason for archiving **in the text field.

To confirm the archiving of the product, click the Archive button.

To cancel the action, click the Cancel button.

Bulk archiving

The Archive icon is available on the top toolbar on the "Product list" page:

You can now select products. Click the checkbox in the upper right corner of the card or in the left column of the product list. 

Clicking on the Archive button opens the "Product archiving" **modal window, which indicates what changes will be made and allows you to enter **the reason for archiving in the text field.

To confirm the archiving of the product, click the Archive button.

To cancel the action, click the Cancel button.

After archiving: 

• the product is hidden from the "Product list" page and moved to the "Product archive" page;
• the product is automatically removed from all planograms and cannot be restored;
• the product is removed from master positions and is not automatically added after unarchiving;
• the product is removed from the "Tasks" block;
• changes to the product are displayed in the manager without additional notification (if the planogram was previously sent).

A yellow indicator also appears on the planograms ("Changes detected on the planogram after archiving products"):

Page "Product archive" 

You can view archived products in the "Products" block. To do this, click on the ▼ arrow next to the name and select the appropriate page from the list:

• Product list (active by default);
• Product archive.

The top panel of the page contains a set of buttons for working with products:

• Download assortment — an .xls file is generated and automatically downloaded to your device;
• Unload product dimensions — allows you to update product dimension data;
• Update product parameters — allows you to perform a mass update of products and master items in accordance with data from Listex or Connector;
• Unarchive — restores previously archived products and returns them to the general product list.

For convenient search of the desired products, you can use the search or filters.

Product filtering is available by the following criteria:

• Categories;
• Brands;
• Properties;
• Shops;
• Assortment type;
• Product status;
• Type:

1. All products;
2. Packaged;
3. Weight;

• Require update

1. All products;
2. Require update from Listex
3. Require update from Database/Connector;

• Availability of product information:

1. All products;
2. Without physical parameters
3. Without image.

To apply the filter, click the Apply button.

Unarchiving products

To unarchive a product, click on the Unarchive button in the upper right corner of the product card:

After the modal window opens, click the Unarchive button to confirm the unarchiving of the product.

To cancel the action, click the Cancel button.

After unarchiving, the products will appear in the assortment in the "Products" and "Tasks" blocks. 

For mass unarchiving, use the corresponding button on the top panel of the page: 

The selection of products becomes available; click on the checkbox in the upper right corner of the card or in the left column of the list of products. Then click Unarchive and confirm the action in the modal window.

History of changes

The "History of changes" tab records all actions related to archiving and unarchiving products.

For each entry, the following is displayed:

• Change in product condition  — Archived / Available for display;
• Source of change — user name, PlanoHero;
• Date of change — when the change was made;
• Reason for archiving — if specified;
• Restore parameters button — clicking, which allows you to cancel the changes made.
