Management of Equipment Element Activity

Every day we develop new features for PlanoHero, and today we are pleased to announce that you can now control the activity of equipment items, allowing you to organize your checkout work more efficiently.

By default, all equipment items are active. This means that when you drag and drop new items, they are automatically included in autolayout, checkout rules, product copies, and analytics. You can change this state at any time using the Settings.

To change the activity of equipment items, go to Edit Equipment mode. This mode allows you to use the Customize Item tool, where you can specify which items will be active and which will be inactive.

Which elements can be made inactive?

You can make such items inactive:
Base
Shelf
Angle shelf

If you place a box on an inactive piece of equipment, the box will also be inactive.
Inactive items will not appear in the planogram complectation and will not be counted in the “Linear metres of layout on equipment”.
Products that are located on inactive items will not be taken into account in the analytics in the "Reports" block, as well as in the planogram and store plan reports.

Numbering peculiarities

The system will automatically skip inactive items when numbering. If the base is inactive, the item numbering will start from the first active shelf.

Product placement on inactive items

When using the auto-layout, Layout Rules and Copy features, items will not be placed on inactive items. However, you can manually place an item on an inactive element, which effectively turns it into a virtual shelf.

Important: Rotation, layout mirroring, alignment, and sorting are triggered on inactive pieces of equipment.

Products that have been laid out on inactive items will not be displayed on the service as laid out.

Tips for use

Inactive equipment items can be used in the following cases:
as a cover for refrigeration equipment;
as an element for placing decorations;
as a virtual shelf for working with the assortment;
as a non-functional basis for equipment.
