Chat (PlanoHero Layout)

Chat is a convenient tool for communication between users within a specific planogram in the PlanoHero Layout mobile app. It allows users to quickly discuss work-related issues, clarify product display details, and exchange files, making collaboration more efficient.

Where to find the chat

• Bottom app panel

“Chat” tab.

• Planogram dashboard

“Unread messages” with the number of new messages — clicking on the row opens the Chat tab.

• Photo report view page

“Go to chat” button — opens the planogram chat and displays the left comment.

• Planograms tab

If a planogram has been returned for execution and the planner left a comment, you can immediately open the chat from the Planograms tab to view the message and continue the discussion.

Conditions for displaying chats in the Chat tab

For a user with permission to edit the planogram, if they:

• created or edited a planogram;
• were mentioned in a message or sent a message;
• sent the planogram for execution.

For a user with the Store Manager role in the Tasks block, if they:

• received a planogram for execution;
• were mentioned in a message.

Actions in the Chat list

• Search — find a chat by the planogram name.
• Go to planogram — quickly navigate to the dashboard of the corresponding planogram.
• Pin / unpin chat — moves the chat to the top of the list and marks it with a pin icon. To unpin, swipe again and tap “Unpin”.

Opening a planogram chat

After selecting a chat, the Messages tab opens (the main communication feed).

Sending messages and files

At the bottom of the chat, there is a message input field and buttons for additional actions:

Mentions (@)

Allows you to address a specific user or all managers of the selected store at once.

Attach files (paperclip icon)

You can upload:

• documents (.pdf, .docx, .xlsx, .pptx, .txt)
• images (.jpg, .jpeg, .png, .svg, .webp, .gif, .heic)
• archives (.zip, .rar)
• videos (.mp4, .mov)

Limitations:

• up to 20 files per message
• maximum file size — 100 MB

Message actions

Reply

Creates a reply with a reference to the original message to preserve context.
