# Placement of equipment on the plan

Equipment and store elements allow you to accurately reproduce the sales floor on the plan: place the basic equipment and other store elements such as cash registers, carts, entrances and exits, and others. Correct placement of these elements is necessary for generating the **"Visitor traffic"** report.

In this article, we will review how to place basic equipment and store elements on the plan, configure its parameters, link checkouts, and add labels to the plan.

### How to place basic equipment on the plan
To add previously created equipment to the plan:
1. Click **"Basic equipment"** on the left toolbar:

2. Select the required equipment from the list and drag it onto the workspace — it will be placed on the plan as a planogram.
Read more about creating equipment [__in the article__](https://helpdesk.planohero.com/en/article/how-to-create-equipment-in-the-editor-1ilrr16/).

To avoid scrolling through the entire list, enter the equipment name in the search field or use filters by **equipment type** or **producer**.

The front side of the planogram on the workspace is marked with two lines. To rotate it and position it at the required angle, hold the circle in the lower-right corner and drag it.

Select the planogram to open the toolbar. Here you can go to planogram editing, change its settings, create a copy, or remove it.

For planograms merged into a group, you can also go to editing the entire group and its settings.

To change the equipment parameters, select it on the plan and click **"Set up"** on the toolbar.

The following blocks are available in the settings:
* **General settings** — to change the name, number, and type of the planogram. If the planogram type is changed from **"Basic"** to **"Additional"**, it will be displayed on the plan with a dashed border, allowing you to visually separate it from the main planograms. If needed, planograms can be excluded from the **"Analysis of laid out products"** report calculation. Read more [__in the article__](https://helpdesk.planohero.com/en/article/analysis-of-laid-out-products-67s3b/);
* **"Personalization"** — to change the font size, text color, frame color, rotation angle, and background color;
* **"Categories"** — allows you to assign a category to the planogram, by which it can later be found using filters, for example in the **"Planograms"** block.

Mass planogram settings allow you to simultaneously change the parameters of several planograms. For example, you can select all planograms of a certain category on the plan and change **the name**, **number**, **planogram type**, **border** and **background color**, f**ont size**, or **merge them into a group** in one setting.

To do this, select the required planograms while holding **Ctrl (Windows) / Command (macOS)**, and click **"Set up"**. If the selected planograms have different parameters, **"-"** will be displayed in the corresponding field. Set the required value and click **"Apply"**.

To show or hide the planogram number on the store plan, enable or disable the **"Display planogram number"** toggle.

### How to link a cash register
After placing cash registers on the store plan, link them to the corresponding cash registers on the service.

|| Note! Linking a cash register is only possible on an active store plan.

To link a checkout, select it on the plan and click **"Set up"** on the toolbar. In the **"Linking to existing cash register"** block, select the checkout to link to.

||| Important! Without linking cash registers, you will not be able to view analytics and visitor movement in the store.

### How to add a label to the plan
If you need to mark a **specific zone**, **object**, or **other location in the sales floor** to make it easier to navigate when working with the plan, click **"Store elements"** on the left toolbar and drag **"Text"** onto the workspace.

To change the text or its formatting, select the text and click **"Set up"** on the toolbar.

In the settings, you can change **the text**, **font size**, **rotation angle**, and **text color**.
