# Alignment and sorting of products on the planogram

Alignment and sorting help quickly organize the layout without manually dragging each product. Alignment sets the position of products relative to the edges or width of the equipment, while sorting determines the sequence of products by size or price.

In this article we will review how to align and sort products on a planogram: what options are available and how to apply them.

### How to align products on a planogram
To align products on a planogram, click **"Products Alignment"** on the top toolbar:

Available alignment options:
* **Align to left side** — keyboard shortcut CTRL + ALT + L (Windows) / Command + Option + L (macOS);
* **Align to right side** — keyboard shortcut CTRL + ALT + R (Windows) / Command + Option + R (macOS);
* **Align to shelf width** — keyboard shortcut CTRL + ALT + J (Windows) / Command + Option + J (macOS);
* **Without align** — keyboard shortcut CTRL + ALT + W (Windows) / Command + Option + W (macOS).

|| Note! Alignment does not apply to hooks and perforated walls, and is also unavailable in **"Lay out arbitrary"** mode.

### How to sort products on a planogram
Sorting allows you to automatically arrange products on equipment by size or price — for example, from smallest to largest or from cheapest to most expensive.

|| Note! Only selected adjacent products can be sorted.

To sort products, select the required products by dragging the mouse or using the **Ctrl** **(Windows) / Command (macOS)** key, click **"Products Sorting"** on the toolbar and select the required type:

Available sorting options:
* **By size ascending** — from smallest to largest;
* **By size descending** — from largest to smallest;
* **By price ascending** — from cheapest to most expensive;
* **By price descending** — from most expensive to cheapest.

||| **Important!** Sorting applies only to products placed on the same shelf. It does not apply to hooks and perforated walls, and is also unavailable in **"Lay out arbitrary"** mode.

Sorting can also be used in autoplacement, layout rules and master rules.
